Huang '92 Memorial Fund Welcome to Dartmouth College Uniformed Service Alumni: a shared interest alumni group for Armed Service members, their families, and supporters. We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting the ideals of service at Dartmouth and supporting all those who put on a uniform in the defense of their country. We invite all members of the Dartmouth Community -- from the college or grad schools, alumni, faculty, or staff, service members or their families, and supporters -- to join with us and ensure that the Long Green Line of Dartmouth military alumni continues to follow the trajectory of service, wherever it may lead. Many Dartmouth student veterans wish to pursue unpaid/low paid internships in areas such as The State Department, White House, or with members of the House or Senate. These robust, learning experiences should be available to all students, not only those who can afford to take unpaid/low paid internships. In addition, graduate students do not qualify for many of the other resources available to undergraduate students. As such, DUSA has created the DUSA Undergraduate Student Veteran Internship Fund and the DUSA Graduate Student Internship Fund. DUSA will also continue to support grants to Dartmouth veterans and active/reserve duty personnel who participate in the Tuck Next Step: Transition to Business program. This year, DUSA is co-sponsoring 2 Days of Service in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. DUSA volunteers in Los Angeles will join with DCLA & DAEMA to honor our heroes at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center with bedside visits, gift distribution, bingo, and thank you card-making to show our appreciation for our veterans. DUSA volunteers in Washington, D.C. will join with DCDC to welcome WWII Veteran Honor Flights as they arrive to visit the WWII Memorial. Please join us as we honor our heroes! While propaganda is hardly a new tactic of war, current technology has made it easier, faster, and more effective. What can we do about the assault of “fake news” on democracy? Experts from the military, computer science, legal, and social science fields will examine foreign policy and military challenges, and propose deterrence measures to ensure “fake news” doesn’t strike again.
